Texas Tech Law’s extensive, nationally recognized advocacy program ranks #2 in the nation in the 2021 ABA Competitions Championship. The Law School also offers a robust clinical program serving indigent clients throughout West Texas, 10 dual degree programs, a legal writing program that comes in at #25 in the nation, and two award-winning law journals. Each of these outstanding programs contributes to developing the skills and values of a competent and ethical practitioner.
Since opening in 1967, the Law School has graduated more than 8,500 students, including the first woman to head a major federal-law enforcement agency, the Army’s highest-ranking legal officer, general counsels of corporations, elected officials, state and federal judges, and some of the nation’s top litigators.
