Prerequisites: CHEM 1308, MATH 1452, and PHYS 1404 or PHYS 2401; and CHEM 3307 or CHE 3322. The study of quantum chemistry and spectroscopy. The use of statistical mechanics to relate quantum phenomena in atoms and molecules to macroscopic properties.
