TSI 0502 - Developmental Mathematics

Prerequisite: By placement. This is the first of a two-course sequence of developmental mathematics courses designed to help students improve their basic math and algebra skills while fulfilling TSI compliance requirements. This course teaches students basic algebra skills to prepare them for TSI 0300, TSI 0320, TSI 0329, TSI 0330, or TSI 0340. There are four major topics: one-variable linear equations, two-variable linear equations, systems of two-variable linear equations, and operations on polynomials. Students are assigned to this course based on testing and evaluation. It does not apply to general degree requirements in any degree program. The course will not count toward full-time enrollment. Students must earn an A, B, or C in the course to progress to the next TSI Developmental Math course.
