LAW 6269 - Federal Criminal Law The course surveys the unique world of federal criminal law. Its focus is on the three main categories of federal crimes: firearms, drugs, and immigration offenses. Across the semester, the students will understand the crimes’ amendment history, statutory schemes, sentencing schemes, constitutional implications, executive-branch enforcement policies, and Congress’s attempts at reform.
