Commercial Real Estate, Undergraduate Certificate

About the Commercial Real Estate Undergraduate Certificate

The undergraduate certificate in Commercial Real Estate is designed to prepare undergraduate business students for careers in the commercial real estate industry. Students will take four courses (12 credit hours) related to the real estate industry and, upon graduation, will receive a Certificate in Commercial Real Estate. The Certificate in Commercial Real Estate program is primarily designed for finance majors, but is open to all undergraduate business students. One of the courses in the Certificate in Commercial Real Estate (FIN 3332 ) is a required course for finance majors. The three remaining courses can be used to fulfill the 9 credit hours of finance electives. Therefore, as long as all 9 credit hours of finance electives are used for courses in the Certificate in Commercial
Real Estate, then no additional courses are needed for finance majors to complete this certificate program. Acceptance in the Certificate in Commercial Real Estate program is subject to approval by the finance area coordinator. Courses may be taken in any order as long as prerequisites are met.
