Military History, Undergraduate Minor

About the Military History Undergraduate Minor Program

Students seeking a minor in military history will complete 18 hours of HIST courses, in accordance with the following:

• 3 hours of courses from Group A (HIST 1300 , HIST 1301 , HIST 2300 , HIST 2301 , HIST 2322 , HIST 2323 )
• 9 hours of courses from Group B (HIST 3330 , HIST 3331 , HIST 3332 , HIST 3333 , HIST 3340 , HIST 3348 , HIST 3366 , HIST 3367 , HIST 4302 , HIST 4337 , HIST 4338 , HIST 4343 , HIST 4696 )
• 6 hours of courses from Group C (HIST 3308 , HIST 3309 , HIST 3310 , HIST 3346 , HIST 3350 , HIST 3359 , HIST 3374 , HIST 3396 , HIST 3398 , HIST 4304 , HIST 4309 , HIST 4310 , HIST 4311 , HIST 4351 , HIST 4353 , HIST 4361 , HIST 4372 , HIST 4379 , HIST 4383 , HIST 4390 , HIST 4393 )
• Of the above 18 hours, 6 hours must be in U.S. history, 6 hours must be in non-U.S. history, and at least 3 hours must be taken at the 4000 level. At least 6 hours must be taken in residence, three of which must be taken at the 4000 level.

Other courses may be substituted with prior departmental consent.
