About the Aerospace Engineering Undergraduate Minor
A minor in Aerospace Engineering consists of 18 hours of fundamental and elective courses covering topics related to the aerospace field. The fundamental courses required are ME 3370 - Fluid Mechanics and ME 4334 - Control of Dynamic Systems. The proposed minor sequence consists of ME 3370, ME 4334, and four courses from a list of electives that are being offered: ME 4352 Aerospace Materials, ME 4353 Compressible Flow, ME 4355 Aircraft Propulsion, ME 4356 - Aerodynamics, ME 4357 Aircraft Design and Structure, ME 4358 - Combustion Engineering, ME 4361 - Aerodynamics of Wind Turbines. Two additional electives are also planned, including ME 4330 - (Flight Dynamics) and ME 4330 - (Systems Engineering). Other courses for the proposed minor may only be counted if approved by the undergraduate program director of the ME Department. Students outside of WCOE applying for the proposed minor must have a TTU GPA of 3.0 or higher and meet the prerequisites to take the proposed courses.
