Integrative Studies is a curricular approach to integrative learning and interdisciplinarity. INTS courses serve as the core curriculum for the University Studies, B.A. or Leadership Studies, B.S. and provide for a synthesis of study and life or an application of interdisciplinarity to complex problems. Integrative studies students develop the intellectual tools needed to build bridges across academic disciplines and apply their skills, innovations, and knowledge in various academic and practical settings. In core classes, students will learn and apply interdisciplinary research methods and develop portfolio artifacts that showcase their individual skills, interests, and talents. This portfolio and the applied learning experience provide each student with valuable resources for flexible, individualized career planning and development.
Students interested in pursuing a degree in university studies with an area of concentration in integrative studies must include in their course of study a minimum of 18 hours from the following courses:
