Computer Science, Undergraduate Minor

A minor in Computer Science (CS) consists of 20 hours of coursework that includes CS 1382 , CS 1412 , CS 2413 , CS 2365 , and two 3-hour 3000/4000 CS core/elective courses. Minor courses require pre-approval of the undergraduate advisor. A minimum of 6 hours of CS coursework must be taken at the 3000 level or above. A minimum of 9 hours must be taken in the Department of Computer Science at Texas Tech for the minor. In addition to the course prerequisites, students outside of the Whitacre College of Engineering applying for a minor must have a Texas Tech GPA of 2.75 or higher from a math-oriented major, or a 3.5 or higher from a non-math major.
