About the Master of Fine Arts – Theatre Arts

The Master of Fine Arts in Theatre Arts is a terminal professional degree that provides for intensive study in four areas of specialization: performance and pedagogy, design, playwriting, or arts administration. A minimum of 60 hours is required beyond the baccalaureate. Completion of the M.F.A. degree requires a written thesis or a thesis project, favoring project-based work within the design and performance and pedagogy tracks.
