Human Resources Development, B.A. – Online+


About the Human Resources Development Online + Bachelor’s Program


The Bachelor of Arts in Human Resources Development (HRDV) will provide graduates with the knowledge, skills, and abilities to improve workplace learning and performance in individual, group, and organizational contexts. This degree is designed to bridge theory with practice in all areas of HRDV, including training and development, recruitment, and talent acquisition. This major is only offered online.

Students are required to complete all major-related course work (30 credits) and six prescribed electives. Students are also required to complete the Texas core curriculum and graduation requirements of Texas Tech University for a total of 120 semester hours.

Communication Literacy Requirement. Communication literacy in the Bachelor of Arts in Human Resources Development is assessed in HRDV 4301 .  

Grading Practices. Credits for a course in which a D is earned may not be applied toward fulfillment of the major course requirements.

Degree Plan and Intention to Graduate. Students are encouraged to file a degree plan with the University Studies Student Services Office as soon as their academic goals are defined, but no later than two subsequent semesters after earning 45 credit hours. The Intent to Graduate form on Raiderlink must be submitted no later than the last day of classes of the term prior to graduation. Students are encouraged to consider an academic minor to complement their major in HRDV.

Credit by Exam. Seniors must receive written permission from the University Studies Student Services Office prior to attempting credit by examination and provide proof of notification upon registering for an exam in Academic Testing Services.
