Social Work, Undergraduate Minor

The purpose of the social work minor is to provide an understanding of social work knowledge, values, and perspective. Minors are not eligible for social work licensing upon graduation nor for advanced standing status in MSW programs. The minor in social work consists of human biology (choose from BIOL 1402  or ANTH 2300 /ANTH 2100  or a combination of both BIOL 1403  and BIOL 1404  or a combination of both ZOOL 2403  and ZOOL 2404 ), as well as SW 2301 , SW 2362 , SW 2311 , SW 3312 , and SW 3331 . Students must receive a grade of C or better in all social work courses applied toward the minor, and no more than 6 hours of social work transfer credit will be accepted.
