About the Urban and Community Design Graduate Certificate Program

This certificate provides a UCD specialization for graduate students and professionals in architecture or related fields. Students develop knowledge and skills in the integrated relationship between architecture and the urban environment, including issues of urbanism and community design. The certificate is further supported by the Urban Tech Downtown Studio in Lubbock (fall only) and/or the Urban Design Studio in Lubbock (typically includes a study abroad field trip in spring only).

Required:

ARCH 5384 - Community Design and Development Resources 3 Semester Credit Hours
and one of
ARCH 5600 - Integrative Architectural Design Studio I 6 Semester Credit Hours (UCD emphasis)
ARCH 5603 - Architectural Design and Research I 6 Semester Credit Hours (UCD emphasis)
ARCH 5604 - Architectural Design and Research II 6 Semester Credit Hours (UCD emphasis)

Approved ARCH Elective:
