About the Deafblindness Graduate Certificate

Aligned with CEC standards for teachers of students who are deaf and blind. Program emphasis is on communication, evaluation, teaching strategies, and current issues and trends for students with deafblindness. The certificate can be undertaken during a master’s or post-baccalaureate certification program, or as a stand-alone certificate.

EDSP 5383 - Anatomy and Functions of the Visual System 3 Semester Credit Hours (requires one weekend in Lubbock, TX)
EDSP 5388 - Programs and Services for Students with Deafblindness 3 Semester Credit Hours
EDSP 5389 - Strategies for Students with Multiple Disabilities and Visual Impairments or Deaf-blindness 3 Semester Credit Hours
EDSP 5394 - Communication for Individuals with Deaf-blindness 3 Semester Credit Hours
