About the Educational Leadership Master’s Programs
Texas Tech University’s TechLEAD is a Master’s of Education in Educational Leadership and Principal Professional Certification Preparation Program designed for working teachers interested in pursuing careers as K-12 school principals in Texas. The TechLEAD program is an online, virtual 30-hour, two-year program focusing on instructional coaching, strong use of student and teacher data for progress monitoring, use of data to effectively lead Professional Learning Communities (PLCs), and advancing leadership through TTESS and TPESS. The program also utilizes the Texas Education Agency’s Effective Schools Framework model for leading improvement. The goal of TechLEAD is to prepare effective and engaged instructional leaders who are knowledgeable, highly skilled, and committed to building learning communities that serve all students. All courses are taught by faculty and instructors who are former and/or current K-12 school leaders. Applicants interested in a Master’s of Educational Leadership with non-principal certification should see Educational Leadership, M.Ed.: Education Policy Concentration . |
