About the Health and Human Sciences Undergraduate Minor
The 18-hour Health and Human Sciences minor/concentration develops interdisciplinary knowledge and skills that promote health and well-being across a variety of dimensions. Aminimum 2.0 GPA is required, but students must also satisfy the GPA requirements for specific courses. Required courses (6 hours):
Health and Human Sciences Electives (12 hours; at least 6 hours must be at the junior-senior level; prerequisites may apply):
Choose four courses from the following disciplines: - Addictive disorders and recovery studies
- Apparel design and manufacturing
- Counseling and addiction recovery sciences
- Family and consumer sciences
- Human development and family sciences
- Human sciences
- Interior design
- Nutritional sciences
- Personal finance
- Personal financial planning
- Restaurant, hotel, and institutional management
- Retail management
Substitutions from other health and human sciences related areas will be considered on a case-by-case basis. |
