About the Arts Entrepreneurship Minor/Certificate
The Arts Entrepreneurship Minor seeks to educate students about the management process that artists use to create artistic, social, and economic value. Students will learn how to build creative partnerships and networks among artists, audiences, communities, businesses, teachers, and students. They will learn how to become self-directed business owners or employees in arts industries and how to identify and pursue opportunities that challenge them to recombine resources in innovative ways to produce creative arts projects. The minor will equip them with career skills to define professional goals, develop marketing strategies, launch ventures, conduct fundraising campaigns, and organize artistic events. General Requirements: - Declaration of the minor must be approved by the Dept. of Interdisciplinary Arts advising or administrative personnel.
