About the Nutritional Sciences Graduate Minor
The Nutritional Sciences graduate minor is designed for students seeking to enhance their primary graduate program with advanced knowledge in nutrition science. This minor complements a wide range of graduate fields, including health sciences, biomedical sciences, public health, and related disciplines, by strengthening understanding of the nutritional factors influencing health and disease. The minor may be completed at either the master’s or doctoral level and will be noted on the student’s official transcript upon completion. Students pursuing a master’s degree complete the required courses plus one additional 3-credit-hour Nutritional Sciences elective, for a total of 9 credit hours. Students pursuing a doctoral degree complete the required courses plus 9 additional credit hours of Nutritional Sciences electives, for a total of 15 credit hours. A maximum of 3 hours of NS 7000 can be taken for the doctoral minor only to pursue research. Additional information is available on the program website. |
