About the Studio Art Painting Undergraduate Minor

Declaration of a Studio Art minor must be approved by the School of Art academic advisor prior to completion of minor coursework. Students working toward this minor must complete a minimum of 18 semester hours, including 9 hours of junior- and senior-level courses taken in residence. Hours applied to the minor area of study may not include courses used to fulfill requirements in the student’s major. These courses, however, may make the student eligible immediately for upper-division courses throughout the 18 hours of the minor. Please follow course sequence and note that some studio courses are repeatable for credit. A Studio Art Painting minor consists of ART 1302 , ART 1303 , ART 2319 , and 9 hours from the following choices: ART 3320 , ART 3321 , ART 3322 , or ART 4321 .
