About the Spanish for the Healthcare Professions Undergraduate Minor

The Spanish for the Healthcare Professions minor equips students with language skills and cultural competence for future healthcare professionals to provide effective and empathetic care to serve Spanish-speaking patients in medical settings.

SPAN 1502 - A Beginning Course in Spanish II 5 Semester Credit Hours
OR
SPAN 1507 - Comprehensive Spanish Review - First Year 5 Semester Credit Hours
OR
SPAN 1508 - Beginning Spanish for Bilingual Students 5 Semester Credit Hours
OR
SPAN 1607 - Intensive Spanish First Year 6 Semester Credit Hours
AND
SPAN 2301 - A Second Course in Spanish I 3 Semester Credit Hours
OR
SPAN 2303 - Intermediate Spanish for Bilingual Students I 3 Semester Credit Hours
OR
SPAN 2607 - Intensive Spanish - Second Year 6 Semester Credit Hours
AND
SPAN 2305 - Spanish for the Healthcare Professions Semester Credit Hours (Students who take SPAN 2607 abroad will not be required to take SPAN 2305.)
