Aerospace Engineering BS

Aerospace engineering prepares students for a rewarding career in aerospace sciences and industry, focusing on the knowledge and technical skills necessary to meet the challenges of a new aeronautics and space renaissance from the flourishing civilian and defense sectors. Combining principles of engineering with hands-on experiential learning, the program emphasizes areas such as aerospace structures and materials, thermo-fluids of subsonic and high-speed flight, flight dynamics and control, and astronautics. Students gain hands-on experience through labs, simulations, and fieldwork – fostering critical problem-solving and teamwork skills. The curriculum integrates cutting-edge technologies, such as aerodynamics experimentation and computational modeling, which prepares graduates to meet the demands of a rapidly evolving aerospace industry. Graduates will be well-prepared for careers with commercial aircraft companies and defense contractors, in the advanced air mobility space, space exploration, and research and development. The program is designed to meet industry standards and provide pathways for professional certifications and continued education.
