About the Mechanical Engineering Technology, BS


The Mechanical Engineering Technology program equips students with the knowledge and technical skills to design, manage, and execute manufacturing projects effectively. Combining practical hands-on manufacturing experience with fundamental engineering education, the program emphasizes graphics, design, material properties, manufacturing techniques, and quality control.

Students in the program will gain knowledge and hands-on training through practical labs, design-based projects, and integrated lab/lecture courses. These courses will incorporate cutting-edge manufacturing equipment, materials testing technology, and design software to prepare graduates to meet the demands of a rapidly evolving industry.

Graduates will be well prepared for careers in design, manufacturing, quality control, management, and other roles in manufacturing intensive industries such as aerospace, robotics, and automotive. The program is designed to meet pathways to professional certification and continued education.
