About the Translation and Interpretation Undergraduate Minor
The 20-hour undergraduate minor in Translation and Interpretation introduces students to the fields of translation and interpretation and provides a basic understanding of theories and practices in these fields. The minor does not grant professional certification, but it gives students the foundation for a career in translation and interpretation and the basis to work toward professional certification. Required Courses for all Languages
Additional Required and Elective Courses
Choose two from selected Individual Language Programs. NOTE: The TTU Undergraduate Minor in Translation and Interpretation is not equivalent to professional interpreter certification, which must be pursued through a certifying organization such as the Board for the Evaluation of Interpreters or the Registry of Interpreters for the Deaf.
