About the Master of Business Administration
The M.B.A. program provides a broad background in business with particular emphasis on developing managerial perspective, analytical tools, and business skills. The Rawls On-Campus M.B.A. is an accredited, on-campus program offering a structured path to earning a Master of Business Administration in 12 or 24 months. Students should work closely with the M.B.A. advisor to plan their course schedule. In addition to the core curriculum, students may choose to add a concentration in Healthcare Organization Management, Human Resource Management, Information Technology, or Marketing Analytics. Healthcare Organization Management Concentration
The 6-hour Healthcare Organization Management concentration introduces courses relevant for managers working in the healthcare industry. Students desiring to work in the healthcare field after earning their M.B.A. will benefit from this concentration. Human Resource Management Concentration
The Human Resource Management (HRM) concentration in the M.B.A. program provides students with the knowledge, skills, and abilities that managers need to complete their jobs, such as recruiting, training and development, compensation, and global management of human resources. Choose Two of the Following:
(MGT 5371 and MGT 5377 are prerequisites for all.) Information Technology Concentration
The 6-hour IT concentration introduces IT courses relevant for managers working in the IT industry. Students desiring to work in the IT field after earning an M.B.A. will benefit from this concentration. Marketing Analytics Concentration
The 9-hour Marketing Analytics concentration introduces analytics courses relevant for managers working in industry. Students who desire to work in marketing after earning an M.B.A. will benefit from this concentration. |
