About the Renewable Energy, M.S.


The Master of Science in Renewable Energy (MSRE) has a scientific and technical profile that trains students to perform professional and research activities related to renewable energy topics. The program will accommodate both full-time students and working professionals. The MSRE program is designed to prepare graduates to be energy professionals who have advanced knowledge and skills that enable them to assume a broad range of technical leadership roles in nascent and established industries, government entities, and NGOs. Topics such as resource evaluations, technological developments, regulations, management, and control are included in a multidisciplinary curriculum with emphasis in engineering science.

* Advanced Research and Analysis Track: An optional track designed to expand research experience and analytical expertise. Students choosing this track will take an additional 6 credit hours of research or advanced electives, selected with Graduate Advisor approval, to enhance readiness for doctoral-level work. Students may fulfill these 6 hours with RE 7000 or an approved elective in the list above.
