Business Administration, Ph.D.

About the Business Administration Doctoral Program

This degree is offered with first-field and second-field specializations in accounting and taxation, finance, management, marketing, management information systems, and business statistics. The program of study requires a minimum of 60 semester credit hours beyond the bachelor’s degree, plus approximately 12 hours of dissertation research. There are three emphases for the student: to provide a broad, integrated knowledge of business; to develop specialized knowledge in at least two fields; and to develop research skills. Students are expected to be competent in linear algebra and calculus as determined by the area of specialization. By completing coursework with a minimum grade of B, students must satisfy requirements in advanced statistics and economics early in the program. There is no foreign language requirement. A student who is successful should complete degree requirements in four years of full-time study beyond the master’s degree. For more information visit:
