About the Natural Resources Management Bachelor’s Program


Students pursuing a B.S. in Natural Resources Management must make a C or better in departmental courses to be eligible for graduation. The degree has five concentrations: (1) conservation science , (2) fisheries biology , (3) ranch management , (4) range conservation , and (5) wildlife biology .

Communication Literacy Requirement. Communication Literacy courses for the Natural Resources Management major include NRM 3302 , NRM 3304 NRM 3308 , NRM 3323 , NRM 3325 , NRM 4306 , NRM 4335 , NRM 4401 , or NRM 4408 .

About the Wildlife Biology Concentration


The Wildlife Biology concentration is designed to train students in the biology, ecology, and management of wildlife populations, with an emphasis on habitat management and population management. This concentration provides students with opportunities for in-field experiences and focuses on applied techniques for managing wildlife, and their associated habitats, and application of basic and applied wildlife management techniques. Graduates from this concentration often work as wildlife biologists for state and federal agencies, private ranches, and other non-governmental organizations. The wildlife biology concentration is designed to provide the opportunity to pursue certification from The Wildlife Society.
