About the Accelerated Human Sciences, B.S. / Nutritional Sciences, M.S. Program
This program is designed for students completing the Bachelor of Science in Human Sciences, with minors in Nutrition and Chemistry, intending on pursuing a graduate degree in Nutritional Sciences. Students are required to complete certain leveling courses at the undergraduate level, have a minimum 3.0 GPA, and submit a formal application to the Nutritional Sciences department for admission. The Nutrition minor requires a minimum of 9 hours of upper level NS courses and a total of 18 hours of undergraduate courses. If approved for admission, students will take 9 credit hours of graduate level Nutritional Sciences coursework in their final semester of their undergraduate degree. The 9 hours will fulfill graduation requirements at the undergraduate level as well as apply to the 36 hours of credits required for the M.S. in Nutritional Sciences (33 hours of credit, if the thesis option is selected).
Students interested in this program should contact the College of Human Sciences Advising & Retention office for additional information regarding eligibility and graduation planning.
