About the Business Administration Dual Degree Program
Rawls College of Business and the Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center Paul L. Foster School of Medicine have partnered to offer a pathway program where students from Doctor of Medicine program at the Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center Paul L. Foster School of Medicine can earn their Master of Business Administration at the Rawls College of Business. Students must be admitted to both the School of Medicine and the Rawls College of Business’ M.B.A. program with a concentration in Health Organization Management to pursue this pathway program. If a student participates in this pathway program, they could transfer in 8 credit hours from the M.D. program towards their M.B.A. and 6 credit hours from their M.B.A. towards their M.D. Students typically complete the 42-hour M.B.A. (HOM) program in one year. Students attend M.B.A. classes on-line during the gap year between the second and third year of the medical curriculum, starting in summer and ending in the spring semester. Please work with the M.B.A. advisor for scheduling.
