About the Chemical Engineering, Non-Thesis Option Master’s Program

The master’s program may also be completed without a thesis. Entry into the non-thesis option must be approved by the departmental graduate committee. Graduate students in this nonthesis option are required to take 36 credit hours of graduate coursework, and must pass a comprehensive examination. The coursework for each student must meet approval of the department’s graduate committee. Students must obtain approval from the department before registering for required graduate courses.

All master’s and doctoral students are required to register for CHE 7121 , CHE 7122 , or CHE 7123 , oeach long semester unless exempted by the chairperson.
