About the Geography Master’s Program

The 30-hour master’s degree in geography is a thesis-based program designed to provide students with critical thinking skills, specific geographic expertise, spatial analysis techniques, and research experience.

Coursework will include:

GEOG 5312 - Seminar in Geographic Thought 3 Semester Credit Hours
GEOG 5340 - Research Design and Methodology in Geography 3 Semester Credit Hours
12 hours in the major
Optional 6 hours in the minor or an additional 6 hours in the major
6 hours of thesis
