About the Equine Science Undergraduate Certificate Program
The department offers an Undergraduate Equine Science Certificate to provide hands-on training and in-depth equine classes to enhance a student’s opportunity for a competitive career within the horse industry. Students may select from one of three options: science, industry, and equine-assisted therapy.
Courses Required
Students must complete 13 hours of the following required core curriculum and earn a minimum grade of C in each class:

In addition, students must take 6 credit hours in courses offered within each of the three concentrations listed. A maximum of 6 of the 19 credit hours may be transferred from another institution.
