GEOL 3401 - Mineralogy and Petrology

Prerequisites: C or better in GEOL 1303, GEOL 1101, GEOL 2401; CHEM 1307 and CHEM 1107; CHEM 1308 and CHEM 1108 (may be taken concurrently); 2. 5 cumulative GPA. Classification and origin of minerals and rocks. Relationships of rock and mineral stability to pressure, temperature, and tectonic processes. Requires field trip that includes strenuous activity.
