Multiple colleges offer online minors, degree programs, certificate and certificate preparation programs that make pursuing an education through Texas Tech University possible at any location. Online and distance learning programs at Texas Tech are delivered through a variety of modalities, including synchronous or asynchronous instruction and interactive video conferencing.

Students pursuing degree programs via online and distance learning at Texas Tech are held to the same entrance requirements as students in Lubbock. Courses, curriculum, and graduation requirements in each of the online and distance programs meet the same standards as those in Lubbock.

The following programs are available online or have distance components available to students. For more detailed information about the specific program and sample degree plans, contact the advisor of the program or visit the department’s website.

Online + students will enroll in approved 8-week asynchronous courses designed specifically for their program of study. Each student will be assigned an Online Student Advocate to serve as their main point of contact within Texas Tech. Online Student Advocates can assist students with major exploration, degree plan execution, course planning, referrals to tailored resources, and online student success planning. Students will discuss course planning, graduation dates, and major requirements with their Online Student Advocate upon full admission to the university. The Online Student Advocate team collaborates with all academic departments and student support resources to help refer students to appropriate advising, financial, wellness, and career resources.

* These program variants are being phased out and are no longer accepting new students. Please see the Online + variant instead.
